Our Requirements

Ideal for individuals aged 28 to 60 with farming experience and or a passion for nature. Catering to singles and couples who are down-to-earth, nature-loving, and financially capable of funding their trip. 

Applicants are not allowed to work for pay on holiday visas as and they will require a health insurance cover. The owners will conduct interviews prior to accepting guests and for the moment, children below 16 years of age are not accepted. 

Our offer 

Our offering blends the richness of farm life with sustainable living in Kenya, inviting tourists to engage intimately with locals. 

Through consultations with the farm owners, visitors gain insights into traveling, investing, or transitioning to Kenya. Our non-commercial farm provides an exchange platform for invaluable knowledge. 

A community based project is a long-term goal aimed at a cottage industry that will enhance the lifestyle of the village. 

Sustainable living practices 

Engage in:

  • Mud-Hut construction

  • Harvesting and marketing self-grown products at the local markets

  • Engage with the locals in the neighborhood in uplifting actions 

  • Enjoy local experiences: fishing, snorkeling, coconut oil production, bead weaving, candle making, evening discussions and beach walks 

  • Soil preparation, cultivation, and irrigation setup

Activities

These range from introductory sessions, hands-on farming to cooking, harvesting, visits to the local market and other farms. 

The final day includes a curated tour of Mombasa Island and its old town, the 1593 Portuguese built Fort Jesus, shopping, beach activities, and immersive experiences like kite surfing, fishing, snorkeling, and cultural workshops or even a tirp to the nearby Shimba Hills or wildlife rich Tsavo National Parks

Your days will be with busy with the earth while the evenings can be warm water and sandy beaches at the pristine Tiwi beach that is 1.5 Kms away or the award winning Diani Beach at 12 Kms from Juje Farm.

Free Accommodation

Enjoy your stay in simple huts where you can contribute to their creation during a span of 8 weeks to 3 months that include fostering communal living and self-catering. At this point, the hosts are unable to accommodate more than three people on the farm simultaneously, but assistance for guests to lodge along the Tiwi Beach will be arranged. 

How to get here

Moi International Airport in Mombasa is the closest with afew international flights touching down. From Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, connections are available to Moi International or the Diani Airport with the latter located 12Kms from the farm

Airport transfers from Diani airport or Moi International can be arranged upon request at a fee. 

Upon arrival at Juje Farm, guests are welcomed to their huts equipped with essential amenities, including Wi-Fi, hot and cold showers. 

Cooking is done with locals like locals.
